PVP is usually expressed in terms of K value which stands for its molecular weight. Usually the larger the K value, the higher the viscosity, the stronger the adhesion. Solubility and mixing
Polyvinylpyrrolidone is a kind of polymer with different molecular weight of vinyl pyrrolidone. The aqueous solution can be miscible with a series of cellulose solutions. Can also be mixed with nonionic, anionic or cationic components such as salicylic acid.

Storage stability

Application:
Suspending agent, dispersant, emulsifier
The addition of PVPK to water soluble suspension agent, dispersant and emulsifier can increase the stability. PVP can form a thin layer on the surface of colloidal particles to avoid condensation.
Plastic production
In the production of solid plastic polymers, PVPK was added as a protective colloid and a polymeric stabilizer.
An adhesive
PVPK 90 and K 85 sodium stearate adhesive thickening agent and tackifier. Different PVPK can be mixed to get the right viscosity. In the dispersion of adhesive, PVP K was also used as protective colloid and thickener.

PVP K is also used as a wettable adhesive for sealing stamps and envelopes, since PVP can be dissolved in water.
