P-Toluenesulfonic acid (PTSA CAS 104-15-4, p-CH3C6H4SO3H, also written as TsOH) is a strong organic acid without oxidation, and its acidity is 10 million times that of benzoic acid. It is white acicular or powder crystal, easy to deliquescence, and soluble in water, alcohol and other polar solvents. It can dehydrate and carbonize paper and wood.

Application
