Hypophosphorous acid 6303-21-5 is a colorless liquid, soluble in water, ethanol and diethyl ether. It is a strong reducing agent. Exposed to the air, Hypophosphorous acid gets easily oxidized. Heated to 130℃, it breaks into phosphorous acid and phosphine. It reacts explosively with oxidant.
