Properties of Glucose oxidase CAS 9001-37-0
Glucose oxidase is obtained by deep aeration fermentation with Penicillium aureus, precipitation with ethanol and acetone, adsorption of kaolin or aluminum hydroxide, and salting out and purification with ammonium sulfate. It can also be made from Penicillium spp. and Aspergillus niger. Almost white to light yellow powder, or yellow to brown liquid. It is soluble in water, and the aqueous solution is generally pale yellow. Almost insoluble in ethanol, chloroform and ether.
