The difference between pharma grade & Technical grade Salicylic acid
Technical grade salicylic acid is in pale pink to white green appearance, while pharmaceutical grade is white powder, odorless, sweet first and then no chemical change in the air.
Salicylic acid is often used as an anti-inflammatory materials. It is known for its ability to ease aches and pains and reduce fevers.
Salicylic acid tends to atmospherically subimate when temperature higher than 76°C; Easily to decarboxylate and change into phenol and carbon dioxide when heated atmospherically. It is slightly soluble in water but dissolves in boiling water easily, soluble in ethanol or ether and slightly soluble in Chloroform.
