Application
Rifaximin, an antibiotic, is the derivatives from rifamycin and treatment for Gram-positive bacterium and negative bacteria, aerobic and anaerobic bacteria caused by acute or chronic intestinal infections. It is a kind of high-efficiency, intestinal tract antibiotics.
Rifaximin contains crystal form(EP Standard)and non-crystal form(CP Standard). Additionally, alpha-crystal form is the most important one of crystal froms which are widely used for the capsules production. Especially, alpha-crystal form can make the capsule more full compared with non-crystal form in the same weight of a capsule. That is to say, the untapped density of crystal form one is higher than the non-crystal form one.
