Colorless cubic crystals. The relative density is 3.052. Melting point 875°C. The boiling point is 1250°C. Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in absolute ethanol and acetone, and insoluble in liquid ammonia. Easily deliquescence in the air. Hydrates have 1, 2, and 6 crystal waters, lose 4 crystal waters at 61.4°C, become monohydrate at 100°C, and become anhydrate at 200°C.
