Titanium tetraisopropanolate CAS 546-68-9, also called Tetraisopropyl Titanate TIPT, is a type of very lively primary alcohol titanium oxide; it hydrolyzes when contacted with moisture in air. TIPT is mainly used as catalyst in esterification reaction or transesterification, also being used as catalyst of polyolefin. It can be used to improve the adherence and crosslinking of resin having alcohol group or carboxyl group, used in heat resistant and corrosion resistant coating. It also can be used in the manufacture of glass and glass fiber. TIPT can only be used in oil system. If you need to buy Titanium tetraisopropanolate, please feel free to contact sales17@tnjchem.com

Application
Coating: Glass, metals, fillers and pigments can be treated with TIPT to give increased surface hardness; adhesion promotion; heat, chemical and scratch resistance; coloring effects; light reflection; iridescence; and corrosion resistance
Paint additive: TIPT can be used as an additive in paints to cross-link -OH functional polymers or binders; to promote adhesion; or to act as a binder itself.
TiO2 pigments and films: Micro- or nano-scale TiO2 pigments can be formed from TIPT. It can also be used to create a polymeric TiO2 film on surfaces via pyrolytic or hydrolytic processes.
