Potassium Hydroxide Properties
Potassium Hydroxide is a 90% white flake or 48% colorless clear liquid. It is one of the strongest alkalis. It is inorganic compound with the formula KOH, and is commonly called caustic potash.
- Easy dissolves in water with heat release; Soluble in methyl and ethyl alcohol; Insoluble in ethyl;
- Not volatile, but it rises easily in air as aerosols;
- Boiling point: 1320°C
- Melting point: 360°C
